Morse Code Translator
Translate text to Morse code and Morse code back to text.
Morse code outlived the telegraph because it's the most fault-tolerant encoding humans can send with almost anything — a flashlight, a whistle, a tap on a pipe. It remains part of amateur radio culture, survival training, and the occasional puzzle or escape room.
This translator works in both directions: type text to get dots and dashes, or paste Morse — letters separated by spaces, words by slashes — to decode it. Letters, digits and standard punctuation are all covered, following the ITU standard.

Frequently asked questions
Common mistakes to avoid
- Pasting Morse without letter spacing — "...---..." can't be unambiguously decoded; write "... --- ...".
- Expecting accented characters to translate — standard ITU Morse covers A–Z, 0–9 and basic punctuation.
