About Converter Portal
Converter Portal is a free collection of everyday online tools — PDF and image utilities, video and audio converters, developer helpers, finance calculators, SEO checkers, text tools, date/time and unit converters, and more. Our goal is simple: give people a fast, reliable way to get a small job done — compress a PDF, format some JSON, calculate a loan payment, check a color contrast ratio — without installing software, creating an account, or wondering what happens to their files.
Why we built this
Most of us have hit the same wall: you need to convert one file, resize one image, or format one snippet of code, and every option online either buries the feature behind a paywall, forces a sign-up, or feels suspicious about what it does with your data. We wanted a single site that keeps things straightforward — pick a tool, use it, get your result. No accounts required for any tool on this site.
How our tools work
Wherever technically possible, our tools run entirely in your browser using modern web technology (including WebAssembly for tasks like PDF manipulation and image processing). That means your files and text are processed on your own device and are never uploaded to our servers. A small number of tools — like the currency converter — need to fetch live data from a third-party source, but even then only the minimum information needed for that request is sent. How we keep it free
Converter Portal is supported by advertising, which lets us keep every tool free and available without subscriptions or usage limits. We don't sell the content of the files you process — because, as explained above, that content generally never reaches our servers in the first place.
